Ordering and Assigning Minecraft Education Licenses

In order to purchase Minecraft Education licenses, you must be able to see the Education category - to see this the tenant must be enabled for Education. This guide will be written as if you are purchasing it from the reseller marketplace, rather than logged in as the customer, though both methods are possible.

Ordering Licenses

1. Firstly, log into Vuzion CORE (https://partner.vuzion.cloud) and then go to the Marketplace and select Education.

2. Followed by Minecraft, at which point you should see the relevant subscription, click ADD TO CART.

3. The order process is fairly self-explanatory from here on out, and the licenses should be available as soon as the order completes.

Assigning Licenses

1. Navigate to https://businessstore.microsoft.com/en-gb/store.

2. Sign in using global admin credentials for the tenant.

3. In the search box, enter Minecraft and search - select Minecraft: Education Edition.

4. You should then see a total license count and also how many are available to assign, click Assign Users.

5. Start typing the name of the user to assign the license to, and click Assign.

Downloading and Installing Minecraft

1. Open an internet browser and go to https://businessstore.microsoft.com/en-gb/store.

2. Sign in using global admin credentials for the tenant.

3. In the search box, enter Minecraft and search - select Minecraft: Education Edition.

 4. Follow up with the Install button.

Note: If a pop-up appears, select Open Store.

5. In the 'Lets get you signed in' window, enter the assigned user's Office 365 username, followed by the password and then Sign In.

Note: There may be an 'Add this account to Windows?' option, click Yes if they don't want to enter a password every time.

6. Select Install - once the client is installed, the user(s) can sign in with their 365 credentials.
