Configuring Exchange Manually in Entourage (Exchange 2010)

Entourage 2004 SP2 running on Apple OS X Jaguar or later allows users to experience the premium benefits of a Hosted Exchange mailbox, similar to that of Outlook on a Windows operating system. There are however certain limitations which are covered at the end of this document.

Setting a new account up in Entourage 2004/2008



  1. Open Entourage 2004/2008 and if prompted, log in to, or create a new identity.

  2. Click the Entourage Menu and then select Account Settings...

  3. Go to the Exchange tab and then click New or click the drop down menu next to new and select the Exchange option.

  4. Select the Configure account manually option and select the next icon.

  5. Fill in the Account Settings as follows:

    Account Name: This is just a name to identify the account.

    Name: Your Name.

    E-Mail address: Your Email Address.

    Account ID: Your username/Alias.

    Domain: hslive

    Password: Your password.

  6. Go to the Advanced Tab and fill in the settings as follows:

  7. Press OK once done.

Mailbox Limitations of Entourage 2004

Appointment Items: Only the default Calendar folder can be accessed using Entourage 2004, other folders containing calendars items can be accessed using OWA.

Contact Items: Only the default Contacts folder can be accessed using the Address Book, other folders containing contact items can be accessed using OWA

Journal Items: Not supported.

Mail Items: All mail folders are accessible.

Note Items: Not supported.

Task Items: Not supported.
