Mobile Email - Windows ActiveSync Configuration - Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013

On your device:

  1. Tap Start.

  2. Tap ActiveSync (if this option is not visible go to Programs > ActiveSync).

  3. Tap the hyperlink that says Set up Your Device to Sync with It or Menu > Add Server Source.

  4. Enter the server address as shown below, dependent on your Exchange version.

    Hosted Exchange 2007: outlook.hostedservice2.net Hosted Exchange 2010: Outlook.hslive.net Hosted Exchange 2013: outlook.hs20.net

  5. Make sure SSL is ticked.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Enter the Username as shown below, dependent on your Exchange version.

    Hosted Exchange 2007: hostedservice2\user@domain.com

    Hosted Exchange 2010: hslive\user@domain.com

    Hosted Exchange 2013: hs20\user@domain.com

  8. Enter the normal email password for the account and click Save password.

  9. Click 'Next'

  10. Tick the folders you wish to synchronise (Calendar; Contacts & Inbox). You must select at least one folder.

  11. Click 'Finish'

Security Policy

The device may ask to enforce a password policy on the device - click 'Yes' and enter a memorable passkey. This should be a 4 digit pin-code but you can change the security policy for your device within the Control Panel if you have the 'Direct Push' service.

Once this has been entered, the device will synchronise with the server.

You will now be able to access your email via 'Outlook E-Mail' from the Start men
