Configuring Backup Powered by Acronis

Please ensure that the following ports are opened on your firewall before you create the backup account and install the client.

If your firewall requires an IP address this can be found by pinging the service via the command line

You will also need to allow the following domain:

fes-eu3-baas.acronis.com

with the IP addresses:

80.69.24.110

80.69.24.109

  1. Login to your control panel as the administrator

  2. Select the "Backup Service" tab

  3. Click add new backup account

  4. Select the user from the drop down, and fill in the black fields

  5. Once the account has been created click "Manage Backups", this will open the Acronis portal

  6. Select the user ( if logged in as admin )

  7. Click the " + " at the bottom to create a new back up

  8. It will then ask you to down load and install the backup client, Select your operating system and install the software

  9. When prompted for the user information, you will need to use the account credentials you have setup on the control panel.image

  10. Then select “create new account”

  11. And finally click install

  12. Once installed return to the Acronis management portal and click backup
    image

  13. Select client for Windows

    • This client will need to be installed on the workstation or server being backed up

  14. From the menu you can select the following:

    • Select what you would like to backup

    • Select where to backup ( default is cloud )

    • Select when to back up

    • Set any retention policies

  15. ‚ÄčThen select addition parameters by clicking the cog

  16. If “Encryption” is selected and the password is lost / forgotten the data is non recoverable, but can be deleted to clear space

  17. Once set, the client will back up as per your parameters.
